DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

Q: What have you been taught / what do you believe about the Holy Spirit?

Q: How do the Scriptures/concepts from this week help you grow as a disciple

who loves God, loves people & serves the world (lives on incarnational

mission) in everyday life?

Q: Based on these Scriptures, how can you move from unbelief to belief, from

just knowing to actually doing in your life?

Connect with God (UP)...

Q: Acts 2 uses a lot of the same examples of how God revealed His presence in

the Old Testament. Why do you think God is so insistent on “dwelling”

with/in His people?

Q: Why is the use of fire such a significant symbol of God’s presence?

Q: What kinds of gifts has God entrusted & empowered you with through His

Spirit? What are you doing with them?

Connect with Others(IN)...

Q: The church responded to the Spirit’s presence with Scripture study, prayer,

worship, fellowship/ministry & outreach. Which of these do you find the

most fun & easy? Which of these do you struggle with?

Q: Some of the people around the Spirit-empowered Christians thought they

were drunk, while others found is irresistibly compelling & attractive. How

do you handle it when people call you weird for following Jesus? How do you

live out your faith in a way that’s actually compelling to others?

Connect with the World (OUT)...

Q: God orchestrated events so that people from all around the world could see

what He was doing, join in, then spread it. Who is watching you/us & what

are they seeing?
