TODAY:
Paid In Full
BIG IDEA:
Jesus gave His life to give us ours back
SCRIPTURES:
Matthew 27:27-66, Psalm 22:1-5,14-18, Isaiah 53:1-12
Romans 5:17-18,21, Hebrews 9:1-14,10:19-22
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
Q: What are some of the worst things you’ve ever done, or that have been
done to you? Do you still carry those things with you today & if so, what price
do you pay for them?
Q: How do the Scriptures/concepts from this week help you grow as a disciple
who loves God, loves people & serves the world (lives on incarnational
mission) in everyday life?
Q: Based on these Scriptures, how can you move from unbelief to belief, from
just knowing to actually doing in your life?

Q: Read Romans 5:17-18,21 & Hebrews 9:1-14,10:19-22. God had the right to
make us pay for our own sins, but He chose to pay the price for them once &
for all Himself. Why would God do that?? What does it say about God? What
does it say about you?
Q: Read Matthew 27:50-51. Why is it so significant that the temple veil was
torn from the top to the bottom? How can this Truth apply to “veils”,
barriers, struggles you might be facing in your life?
Q: How does the cross rule out the possibility of a works-based salvation?

Q: Read Matthew 27:45-46 & Psalm 22:1-5. How amazing is it that in Jesus’
worst moment of physical & spiritual agony, this is the song that comes to
His mind & heart? What can we fill our minds & hearts with to remind us of
the “yets” in our suffering? How can we encourage each other with this too?

Growing disciples who love God, love people & serve the world. Growing disciples who love God, love people & serve the world.
Q: Look back at the lists of what we did & what Jesus did. As you see examples
of the struggle of humanity around you, how can you share the Good News
of how Jesus engages those things?
