Jeremiah 31:31-33, Hebrews 8:13

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

Q: In what ways do you tend to “rearrange deckchairs on the Titanic” in your

life?

Q: How do the Scriptures/concepts from this week help you grow as a disciple

who loves God, loves people & serves the world (lives on incarnational

mission) in everyday life?

Q: Based on these Scriptures, how can you move from unbelief to belief, from

just knowing to actually doing in your life?

Q: Read Matthew 26:26-28. How would you feel if someone literally gave up

their life to save yours? How would your life change from that?

Q: Read Matthew 26:6-13. We’re still telling the story of Mary 2,000 years

later! What can you learn from Mary’s response to Jesus?

Q: Read Matthew 26:31-35. Why do you think the disciples refused to listen to

Jesus & insist on their own courage? How could they have handled this

differently? What can we learn from this?

Q: Re-read Matthew 26:6-13. Why is it tempting to criticize each other instead

of supporting each other as we follow Jesus?

Q: How can we lovingly & truthfully engage a world that tends to “rearrange

deckchairs” & “play music while the ship goes down” in a way that reflects

Jesus well & draws people to Him?
