now & forever

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

Q: How much do you think about what comes after death? Does it bring you

fear & dread, or joy & anticipation?

Q: How do the Scriptures/concepts from this week help you grow as a disciple

who loves God, loves people & serves the world (lives on incarnational mission)

in everyday life?

Q: Based on these Scriptures, how can you move from unbelief to belief, from

just knowing to actually doing in your life?

Q: Read Hebrews 12:18-29 & Revelation 21:1-7. How do these passages help

us understand what heaven will be like? How do these descriptions line up

with what culture or other religions think it will be like?

Q: Hebrews 12:25 pleads with readers to not refuse/rejectthe One (Jesus)

Who is calling out to them. How do you think Jesus has/is calling out to you?

How much do you think about the unimaginable consequences of

refusing/rejecting Him?

Q: Hebrews 12:26-27 says that both heaven & earth will be shaken & God will

rebuild it to perfection. This is a hard question, but are there things you hold

onto & want to keep from God & are those things getting in the way between

you & God?

Q: These passages talk about how both angels & followers of Jesus who have

gone to heaven are having a huge worship party in the presence of God. How

can you already start getting ready for that here & now? How can we live out

gratitude, joy & worship together?

Q: If you’re a follower of Jesus, how can this passage give you both loving

clarity & urgency as you relate with the world around you?
