DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
Q: How much do you think about Jesus when you read the Old Testament?
Q: How do the Scriptures/concepts from this week help you grow as a disciple
who loves God, loves people & serves the world (lives on incarnational
mission) in everyday life?
Q: Based on these Scriptures, how can you move from unbelief to belief, from
just knowing to actually doing in your life?

Q: Read Hebrews 7. How would you compare the old covenant with the new
covenant? How can you let the old covenant point you to the new one in
Jesus?
Q: Why do people struggle to trust God with our world? How can this passage
help reassure people to trust Him?
Q: Why is it important to understand Jesus as both Priest (saves us) & King
(rules us)?
Q: Why are legalism & works-merited religion enticing & appealing to some
people?
Q: Hebrews 7:19 says the old religious system could not make people “perfect”
(complete, fulfilled, accomplished, verified, consummated). Why is it
tempting to look to a religion, institution, organization, leader, code, list of
practices, etc. to complete/fulfill us instead of the Person of Jesus?

Q: People in the Bible sometimes elevated people to positions higher than they
should have, even to a point of competing with or replacing Jesus: Abraham
(nation), Levite Priests (religion), Moses (Law), etc.. How do you still see this
happening today?
